Wenn wir zu euch kommen, passiert eines: Euer Platz wird so gezeigt wie er wirklich ist — durch die Augen von jemandem der ihn zum ersten Mal erlebt. Kein Imagefilm, keine PR-Sprache. Nur eine ehrliche Runde, ein Mitspieler von euch, und die Geschichte dahinter.

Just an honest round, one playing partner from your club, and the story behind it.

Zu teuer. Zu elitär. Zu langweilig. Das hört man oft über Golf — und ich dachte das früher auch. Too expensive. Too elitist. Too boring. You hear that about golf a lot — and I used to think so too.

Bis ich jemanden mit auf den Platz genommen habe. Und die Reaktion war immer dieselbe: "Wie cool. Das hatte ich mir komplett anders vorgestellt. Warum macht das nicht jeder?" Until I took someone out on the course. And the reaction was always the same: "How cool. I imagined this completely differently. Why doesn't everyone do this?"

Diese Frage hat mich nicht mehr losgelassen. Denn auf dem Platz ist es egal wer du bist, was du machst, was du verdienst. Sobald du da stehst verbindet euch genau ein Moment: der eine Schlag, aus nicht erklärbaren Gründen perfekt getroffen, der Ball so nah am Loch wie noch nie. In diesem Moment bist du gleich mit jedem der je einen Schläger gehalten hat. That question stayed with me. Because on the course it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, what you earn. The moment you're out there, one thing connects you all: that one shot, perfectly struck for no explainable reason, the ball closer to the hole than ever before. In that moment you are equal to everyone who has ever held a club.
